Rich Eisen is a television analyst known for his great sports analysis and talks. He also runs a show/podcast of his which goes by the name of “The Rich Eisen Show”. His recent guest was former NBA player Rex Chapman. They discussed Basketball and added some points on the G.O.A.T debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Rich Eisen and Rex Chapman started it off with how a Michael Jordan interview would be with Rex Chapman at CNN+. Both the personalities were very honest with their comparisons as they have either spectated and studied the stars throughout their journey or have been a part of it as a rival.
Rex Chapman started off with appreciation for Michael Jordan as he thinks he is the best player ever and quoted: “I was a great player in high school like all world player and I felt like I saw Michael and Michael could do that to us sometimes like pro players. Sometimes you know he was toying with me like I toyed with high school kids back in the days and he was freaky…. his competitive will. I wonder when he realized that… They swept us like a JV team… so when he realized he was better than everyone else.”
Rex Chapman was very appreciative for MJ and so was Rich Eisen as they belong from that era and know it all. Further Rich Eisen got into the conversation and starting off with the all-time comparison added some very important points which separates the two all-time greats. He focused on the fact of Michael Jordan being more interested and competitive in everything he does especially on the basketball court. He didn’t disrespect LeBron James as he was one of those guys who were observing him since the start and knows about his greatness. But he surely ranks Michael Jordan ahead of him.

Rich Eisen on LeBron James and Michael Jordan and the big differences between the two
Rich Eisen speaking on the comparison quoted: “I don’t know if we could sit here and say LeBron toys with anybody…He is stupendous. He’s gonna wind up the greatest scorer in the history of the game and a champion and an all-time great and all of those things and accolades he deserves. When it comes down to it, I just remember Michael Jordan would rip your heart out and show it to you pumping and then put it back in, surgically repair it and do it again.” He also agreed with Rex Chapman further quoting: “LeBron is a little more empathetic probably and as an athlete, we kinda hate that we like it as a cutthroat. Like be a man and go out there and kill them. LeBron is not wired exactly like Michael is almost no one is. But I respect that what is LeBron… He did toy with people.. to put him in a category with Michael is not unreasonable.”
Further, both of them also discussed the journey they have seen and played a role in of LeBron James. Nothing said by them was wrong as it completely makes sense for someone who knows the game and has observed both the superstars. One was the most competitive and the other is the most constant but lacks some parts to be ranked over the other. The G.O.A.T debate though is not ending anytime soon as LeBron James is still in the league showing off his greatness to reach right up there where many rank the Air highness of MJ as he suits up for Los Angeles Lakers. But none of them is actually worried about the answers as it is more of about what fans think once King finishes his journey in the league.
